Jesse's childhood was anything short of interesting. When he was just five years of age, his mother (Angel Marie Benten) left his father to be with another woman, (Gina Lynn Andrews). For months after his mothers departure, Jesse's father tried to turn each of his three children against both women. Laying the guilt trip on thick enough that it slowly drove them all from the home the boy's had grown up within. Sending every last one of the Benten children off to live with his mother, within sunny California.
If asked about his life before moving in with Angel and Gina, Jesse will always respond with the same reply. He doesn't remember it. Despite the reply, Jesse does recall everything about his childhood. Those memories, every last one of them, up until the divorce, were pleasant. And they all remain locked away, never to be discussed with again. Due to issues relating from his past, Jesse also doesn't speak with his father. There is a lot of hard blood that's boiled between the two.
One of the bigger issues that's rested between father and son, was Jesse's choice in careers. Mr. Benten wanted his youngest to follow within his footsteps, the very steps that his older brothers had both taken and succeeded within. Becoming an attorney.
Jesse, however had other idea's. Ever since he was old enough to hold a stick properly, Jesse would be seen banging it upon anything within reach. He enjoyed creating music, even back then when no one could make any sense of it, the melody rang true within his ears.
Within his eyes, Jesse Benten was born to play music, to hell with what his father believed in. He was going to live his life as he seen fit, and enjoy every last moment of it.
Jesse still has strong ties with both of his mothers, speaking to them on a weekly basis. The same goes with both of his brothers, the relationship between the three is quite strong, despite Jesse's choice of career.
